Fix for crash on exit, and corrections to some rF2 shaders including the real road. Also, some fixes/improvements to Assetto Corsa and Collada import/export.

More details and download: http://www.sim-garage.co.uk

Cheers

Thanks for the update Dave!

Can someone please explain to me the correct procedure or requirements to set the billboard flag?

You have to set Billboard and Moveable to True, then set the pivot point. At the top of the Object Instance Edit panel, use the last icon. Then go to Export > your game > Save Objects (for ISI format games). Then go to Update SCN or TRK. You can speed up the process by hiding objects that don't need updating (hidning materials doesn't count).

Thank you for providing such a versatile and effective program, and actively updating and supporting it. I have been using it for about 2 months and am still finding new tricks and features that make modding so much easier. Keep up the great work.

Still experiencing an issue with the latest build: My anti virus software (Avira AntiVir) recognizes the DAE export plugin (ColladaExport.3dsmEX) file as infected with Trojan "TR/ATRAPS.Gen". I've uploaded the file on VirusTotal and tested it with other virus engines too. Some of them do recognize the file as the same Trojan too.
I don't know how this can be and how this can be solve (other than changing the anti virus software :D).

Anyhow I really like the latest version :D

Your AV program should have an exceptions list that you can add things to.

Seems like there was an update for Avira. Now the DAE is no problem anymore (even without active exceptions) but now the EXE causes a virus warning. Even on virustotal.com the file is recognized as a virus (Trojan.Generic.12256938 or Artemis!8DB1B0015274 or Suspicious_GEN.F47V1117). Overall recognition rate is 12 out of 54!
This is really strange because the other day no warning appeared...

Any ideas or suggestions? And changing the anti virus program is no option at all because the program should be completely virus free, no matter what program one's using! ;)

The best an anti-virus program can do is look for what it regards as a signature. There is no way I can stop that program from false reporting. By their nature anti-virus programs will report false negatives and they always will.

If you believe the output of these programs don't use 3DSimED, all I can tell you is that I would personally never use them as they are not reliable enough to be of use to literate/experienced users.

Cheers

Dave N.
