Hi,

This looks like one sided texturing to me. The parts/textures you can see have there faces pointing that way, the invisible ones are pointing the other way. You need to flip them so they are all pointing out. That would be my best guess by looking.

Cheers,

Well, finally I think I have found something:

Normals are messed in the conversion to 3do in double sided polys and I detected some other inverted normals in simple polys. I spent so much time in reviewing all my textures so I think the problem are not with them. At least there is something concrete this time. Hope this will help!

Cheers

Do you use any of the Edit->Normals functions to re-calculate the normals?. If you have then the original polygons have been drawn the wrong way around, you should be able to see what is happening by using Display->Culling->Back Face - the same geometry that goes missing in GPL should also be missing in 3DSimED.

Cheers

When converted to 3do, polys remain with the correct mapping, but some of them change the normal to oposite. As they are right mapped, they look well in 3DSimED, also with <back face> option. But that faces wich normals became changed, fails to be seen in GPL.

I tried to correct normals in the 3do file, but as it must be saved with the 3do export option, ghanges again.

The <Facet> option seems to work OK, but the problem is when saving to 3do.
