Version 3.1h is released with support added for Forza Apex car import. Complete cars can be imported (.carbin) and individual components (.modelbin). However, tracks and track objects cannot.

Clone Object has been added to the Object Instance Edit Pane.

Drag rotate of a scene should be faster.

The rendering of cube map shaders has improved, Import Collada DAE support is better and more Forza Apex SwatchBin formats are supported.

Windows 10 users have had problems on AMD graphics hardware due to changes made in the Windows driver, 3DSimED now has less screen tearing than before.

There are also fixes for exporting to PNG, corrections have been made to the order of the SearchPaths in scenes, and to the bone positions in an rF2 .GMT when a pivot point has been set

Thanks Dave.

rF2 has a new shader Multi layer grass/dirt sat map any chance you can take a look at that?

Cheers and thanks again for all your work.

Report about AMD GPU issue:

AMD "Radeon 17.4.3" driver package

- HARDWARE Mouse XYZ: occasional corrupted refresh, usually when you click over the object after you have zoomed/rotated it (same for wireframe-flat-textures)
- SOFTWARE Mouse XYZ: no issue!
- NO XYZ Feedback: no issue!

Thank you

Will you continue to work on the ability to edit tracks for Forza Apex and the coming Project Cars sims. Thanks in advance. BTW even if you don't add the camera editing tool (and I still hope you will) would you consider adding a way to mark cam locations that can be transferred or copied to a cam file. Thanks again.

Wow thank you for adding Forza support.
I was wondering how or if is possible to import other LODs. Its just I use always LOD1 models instead of LOD0 because WR2 game limitation polys number 64k

How you import the cars with the textures exactly? i read something that quickbms with ForzaRecurseUnzip script and FH3 dev version are required. I tried this out, but didnt work for me...

So how did I post the screen shots?.

It does work but not for you. However, you're giving me no clues, so I cannot help even though I am willing to.

Cheers

Hello Dave,
Many thanks for adding support for Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Apex format.
I was wondering, is it possible to import other LODs apart the highest SLODs?

Best regards,
AMG.

For the script there is error message: Error - wrong command-line argument (zip.bms)
And I use latest zip.bms one

For the 3DsimED it just crash (3DsimED 3 has stopped working), I tried with many Horizon 3 cars and for Apex models it loads nothing just blank screen with no parts at all but axis arrows.

I can import parts from the scene folder but the mapping is totally wrong and i am missing some textures.
I cant load a complete model, if i try 3dsimed stops working.
Maybe i have overlooked something, but till now no luck yet.
Seeing your picture it should work, so ill keep on trying :)

Hello, thanks for adding Forza carbin support. Importing works great after following instructions carefully for extracting.

I was wondering, while all .swatchbin textures are imported, it doesnt seem to work with .materialbin textures. Is it possible .materialbin textures could be imported aswell ? Many small details like screws and such seem to be .materialbins and are ignored at import. Also would it maybe be possible to import lower LODs further down the road ?

Very impressed that forza model support, looking forward to buying full version of 3dsimed if above things could be added
