Hey all, I'm having a problem, when I export to .3ds some materials will either not be present (determined if I have 8:3 enabled when I export the model, If I have 8:3 enabled I will loose materials and if I have it disabled I will gain materials) and obviously, to get the modeled textured correctly in Cinema4D I need all the materials present. So I want the option with more materials, however, some parts of the car are un-materialized, seen in the pic below. If there is something I'm missing please comment below! Much appreciated!

I would use .3DS as a last resort if you have long material and texture names but I cannot understand how the materials can go missing.

I think Cinema4D can import Collada DAE and Autodesk FBX both will give you better results.

Thanks for the reply Dave, exporting it to FBX yeilded a lot better results, with more than 200+ materials!
