I made a car model, put it in game, it all works fine, but when I switch the AI on, It stays in 1st gear .
How do I get AI to change out of first gear?

[ED] sorry, i forgot to mention what game, it's for rFactor.

[EDD] If I change gear up to 6th then switch to AI, it will stay in 6th, change down for corners, but wont change back up. It stays in what ever low gear it changed down to for the corner.
