Yes folks! It's competition time!!
Tired of not meeting the grade? Fed up 'cause you can't win the races? Then this is a competition for you.....
Here at The Pits our competition is to reward examples of good driving and bad driving and maybe even something if you retire in particular style. Theres no prizes just the knowledge that even though you didn't win the race, theres still a chance of winning something.
We've only had three entries so get your fingers out and send us those replays!
To enter the competition, you need to send us a replay file showing the action. There are three categories:
- The Gilles Villeneuve Cup
For people who refuse to give up. This award is given for determined driving, outstanding manouvres and displaying the will to win. Replays showing persistant tailing, passing in impossible places and wheel to wheel racing are eligable for this category.
- The Damon Hill Rubber Duck
Well it would of worked! Honest!
If you tried to pass in the daftest of places, tried to take someone of - and took off yourself or outbraked yourself, then you could be in with a chance.
- The Crash King Crown
Exactly what it says really. Awarded for the best crash with points added for attempts to recover and what caused the crash. Driving headlong into a wall won't score at all....
Rules
There are only two rules.
- Replay files sent to us must be zipped and less that 250K in size. The reason for this is to stop our mailbox getting clogged. Files should be sent in UUencoded format. If you need it, a copy of the UUencoder Wincode can be downloaded.
- Replays must involve your car. Replays of AI cars only will not be accepted.
As a note, the more cars in the replay, the larger the replay file. You can use Edit Replay to extract whole laps from replays to a second file to save on size.
Entries should be sent to Jed at the usual e-mail address.
Don't forget to tell us which program and track the files are for!
