Checking to ensure Java & Javascript is enabled in your browser

For Netscape 3.x browsers

  • Choose the Options menu.
  • Select Network Preferences.
  • Click on the Languages tab.
  • Verify that the boxes Enable JavaScript and Enable Java are checked. If they are not, click on the box to enable it.
  • Click OK.
  • Close your web browser and restart it by re-opening it.

    For Netscape 4.x browsers

  • Choose the Edit menu.
  • Select Preferences.
  • In the white box on the left, click once on the word Advanced.
  • Verify that the boxes Enable JavaScript and Enable Java are checked. If they are not, click on the box to enable it.
  • Click OK.
  • Close your web browser and restart it by re-opening it.

    For Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0x

  • Click on the View menu.
  • Select Internet Options. A tabbed dialog should appear.
  • Select the Advanced tab.
  • Scroll through the list until you find Java VM. Check the bottom check box labeled JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled.
  • Click OK.
  • Close your web browser and restart it by re-opening it.

    For Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0x

  • Click on the Tools menu.
  • Select Internet Options. A tabbed dialog should appear.
  • Select the Advanced tab.
  • Scroll through the list until you find Java VM. Check the bottom check box labeled JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled.
  • Click OK.
  • Close your web browser and restart it by re-opening it.
