Weather Change Clarification
There is a bit of a difference in how the weather changes are outlined in the race settings compared to the rules. We will go by the instructions as outlined in the race settings file:
You must make the change before completing the lap at the start of each change. For example, you must change from dry to wet during lap 110 and not before it's completed.

The rules have been revised today. Both the DOS and Windows version of N99 will be allowed for the race. As a consequence, the virtual grid will not be used. All drivers will begin the race from the rear of the field. However, qualifying has been included in the final race scoring criteria, making it still important. Please re-read the rules in entirety to have things clear in your mind.

For communication between drivers we've posted a message board. Feel free to use the board to contact other drivers, maybe you need a ride, or have a technical question. The link to the board will always be found at the top of this page.
TPTCC Trivia Can you tell us what the significance of this car from the 1997 TPTCC season is? First one that can post the answer on the message board wins the distinction of being a dedicated TPTCChead:))
A big thanks to both NASS and The GT Insider, who were both kind enough to pass our PR about the 1000 on to their drivers. If you're looking for a few other great leagues be sure to check them both out. NASS runs the best Nascar league around while The GT Insider runs a great SportsCar GT league.
This year's race rules and event schedule will be posted within the next few days. Not a lot of changes but here's a few technical bits. Because of the limitations of N99's file compatability, all racers will have to run with the DOS exe version of the sim. In addition, for qualifying purposes the driver that qualifies and starts the race for each car will need a copy of NRQH.

This year's 1000 is on the way! Welcome to our new site. Here is the official press release announcing this year's event...
The Pits Touring Car Championship and The Pits are proud to announce the 3rd annual running of the Bull Run 1000. Along with us this year is the new race sponsor, Redshoes Racing. Found at http://www.redshoes-racing.com, Redshoes Racing is a definitive news source for the BTCC and other touring car series around the world. We'd like to extend a big welcome and thank you to the site's webmaster, Nigel Clark.Check out the Downloads page for the new track and other race files along with files from past races. This History page has also been updated to include the 1998 running of the 1000.This year's race will run using the soon to be released version 1.0 of the TPTCC99 patch for Nascar Racing 1999. For those unfamiliar with the race, the Bull Run 1000 is an offline racing event simulating the Bathurst 1000. Drivers team up in a car and split the race segments. At the end of each segment, (excluding the finish), the driver pulls the car into the pits for service and saves the race to forward on to the next driver.
New this year, are the changes made to the Bull Run track and the addition of the V8 SuperCar class. The race will be run on the Bull Run 2000 track which features revised bankings in a number of the track's turns. The V8's, a feature of the new TPTCC99 version 1.0 release will run their own separate class. Drivers will even be able to compete in both the Super Touring and V8 classes, providing they're not in both cars during the same segment.
Add to this, the Sim Touring Trophy race for polesitters from the 1999 season, plus the new Top 3 qualifying shootout and this year's race shapes up to be the best yet!
All race info can be found at the Bull Run 1000 website (http://www.tptcc.com/bullrun/). Due to a few technical glitches, which are currently being addressed, the race dates have not been determined yet, but rest assured this year's 1000 is fast approaching!
